In mid-May the car owner receives an envelope with the Tax Payment Notice (Nozei Tsuchi-sho) and other documents. The amount must be paid by June 1, 2020 (Monday). Payment can be made at banks, post offices, convenience stores, supermarkets with multipurpose stations (MMS) and other establishments through Nozei Tsuchi-sho. It is also possible to make payment via credit card (only available over the Internet) or via smartphone payments application (PayB or Mobile Register – モバイルレジ).
