In Mie Prefecture, to help Japanese and foreign residents recognize each other’s differences in lifestyles and culture and build a local community together, the month of January has been designated as “Mie Prefecture Multicultural Coexistence Month.” During this period, the prefecture promotes initiatives to increase understanding and engagement with multicultural coexistence.

As one of these initiatives, we will be holding the “Mie Multicultural Coexistence Event,” as detailed below. Anyone can participate. Participation is free. Join us!

12:00–15:00 Exchange Event

Foreigners and Japanese residents of Mie will be able to meet, chat over a light snack, and deepen their exchange. Let’s get to know each other and understand our differences. There will also be “mochi-tsuki” (traditional mochi preparation). Participation fee is free.
