Applications will not be accepted from December 27, 2025 to January 4, 2026, due to the New Year’s holiday. Therefore, applications are expected to be especially busy on December 26, 2025, and January 4, 2026, just before and after these holidays. If you are going to the Immigration Bureau over the New Year’s holiday period, please use public transportation whenever possible. If your residence status and expiration date are not affected, we recommend filing your residence inspection application outside of the New Year’s period, as this will shorten your wait time. Congestion information is posted on the Nagoya Immigration Bureau’s social media accounts, so please make use of it. Click here for a flyer.
