The new website of Mie Prefecture on tourist information “Mie Travel Guide”, will be disclosing information on tourism spots in cooperation with Trip Advisor.

How to browse on “Mie Travel Guide”

  • Access the home page: URL:http://www.travel.pref.mie.lg.jp/ and select English, Chinese (traditional or simplified) or Korean
  • Click on the information you want to view
  • After access Trip Advisor website, select the desired language (on computer screen, select the flag of the country on the upper right-hand side)

*”Mie Tourism Guide” (http://welcome.kankomie.or.jp/) operational system has been shut down on late September 2015, and, for an undetermined period, search contents on the website will be redirected to “Mie Travel Guide”.

 

Receive the Rubella Antibody Test for Free!

To prevent Congenital Rubella Syndrome, Mie Prefecture is currently providing rubella antibody test for free, especially targeting women wishing to become pregnant.

Target population:

Registered residents of Mie, who also….

(1) Wish to become pregnant

(2) Are living with someone who wishes to become pregnant

(3) Are living with someone pregnant with low rubella antibodies

*Except for people meeting certain criteria. For more details, please refer to information below.

 

Application Period:  May 1, 2015 (Friday) ~ February 29, 2016 (Monday)

 

Cost for receiving the test: Free

 

How to Apply:

・Bring the application form and personal identification that includes the applicant’s name and address, such as driver’s license or residence card (please check on the application form), to the prefectural health center.

・For more details, please refer to information below.

[*You may need some help from a Japanese speaker for the application process]

 

Caution:

・People who receive results that show low immunity against rubella should consider getting immunized.

・Some cities cover part of the cost for immunizing against rubella.

・Please hold on to the results of the antibodies test. It will be required in the process for covering the immunization cost.
