Recruiting Foreign Participants for the Special Arc Welding Course

The Mie Prefectural Human Resources Development Center is currently recruiting foreign participants for the Special Arc Welding Course.

Interested applicants should contact the Mie Prefectural Human Resources Development Center by phone during the registration period.

Participation Requirements

  1. Individuals who require safety training to operate arc welding equipment.
  2. Foreigners who have a residence status without work restrictions.
    ※ However, it is necessary to be able to read and write hiragana (basic Japanese alphabet).

Course dates

  • 1st Class: September 17–19, 2025 (3 days)
    Time: 8:40 AM–5:00 PM
    Registration Period: August 1–September 1, 2025
  • 2nd Class: March 17–19, 2026 (3 days)
    Time: 8:40 AM–5:00 PM
    Registration Period: February 2–March 2, 2026

Participation fee

8,000 yen (includes course materials)

Training contents

A special course will be offered in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Law.

Participants will learn how to use arc welding equipment.

At the end of the course, a Certificate of Completion of the Arc Welding Special Course will be issued.

Let’s Prevent Heatstroke!

Heat stroke can occur even indoors, without you making any physical effort. In some cases, it can lead to death. Be aware of changes in your health and also take care of the people around you to avoid damage in your health.

  • Avoid the heat

Use air conditioning indoors.

When going out, use a parasol or wear a hat.

  • Always stay hydrated

Drink fluids regularly, even if you are not thirsty or when going out.

Symptoms of a heatsroke

Dizziness, feeling faint, excessive sweating, muscle pain, among others.

(If symptoms worsen)

Headache, vomiting, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, feeling weak, convulsions, loss of consciousness, etc.

If you find someone you suspect of having a heatstroke

  • Immediately take the person to a cool place.
  • Loosen their clothing and cool their body (apply an ice pack to their neck, armpits, and groin).
  • If the person is unable to drink water on their own or respond normally, do not hesitate to call an ambulance.
