Mie Prefectural Technical School (Mie Kenritsu Tsu Kogyo Gijutsu Gakko)

Mie Prefectural Technical School is recruiting students for the Metal Forming Course, starting in October 2025. Interested applicants should contact Hello Work (Public Employment Agency) for more information.

■ Course Period

Wednesday, October 8, 2025, to Friday, March 6, 2026
(Excluding weekends, holidays, and non-training days)
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

■ Slots

■ Costs

  • The course is free.
  • A 20,000yen fee is required upon registration for work uniforms, protective equipment, accident insurance, etc.

■ Obtainable Certifications

  • JIS Welding Skills License (basic level: SA-2F, SA-3F, A-2F) optional
  • Gas Welding Skills Course Completion Certificate

(Institution registered with the Mie City Labor Office, Registration No. 17-4)

  • Arc Welding Special Course Completion Certificate
  • Grinding Wheel Replacement Special Course Completion Certificate
  • Tamakake Operation Course Completion Certificate

(Institution registered with the Mie City Labor Office, Registration No. 20-2)

■ Target Audience

Individuals motivated to acquire metal forming skills and seek employment, who meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Foreigners with residence status without work restrictions
    ※ Requirement: Ability to speak Japanese daily and read/write hiragana
  2. Individuals with little or no work experience

■ Admission Selection Process

To participate in the training, it is mandatory to complete the admission selection process.

  • Selection dates:
    • 1st Selection: August 25, 2025 (Monday)
    • 2nd Selection: September 24, 2025 (Wednesday)
      ※ The second selection will not be held if the first selection is filled.
  • Procedure:
    1. Contact Hello Work to participate in the selection process.
    2. Selection content:
      • Explanation of Course Content
      • Registration Procedures
      • Aptitude Test
      • Hiragana Reading and Writing Test
      • Individual Interview
    3. On the day of selection, please arrive at Mie Technical School by 9:00 a.m.
    4. Required items:
  • Writing materials (black pen, pencil, eraser)
  • Residence Card (foreigners only)
  • Proof of registration with Hello Work and one of the following documents:

・For those receiving unemployment insurance:
Certificate of Eligibility for Unemployment Insurance
・For those not receiving unemployment insurance: Identity document (Driver’s License, My Number Card, etc.)

■ Enrollment

  • Approved candidates will be sent a confirmation of admission and the necessary documents for registration.
  • Results will not be announced by phone or other means.
