
Heat stroke can occur even indoors, without you making any physical effort. In some cases, it can lead to death. Be aware of changes in your health and also take care of the people around you to avoid damage in your health.
- Avoid the heat
Use air conditioning indoors.
When going out, use a parasol or wear a hat.
- Always stay hydrated
Drink fluids regularly, even if you are not thirsty or when going out.
Symptoms of a heatsroke
Dizziness, feeling faint, excessive sweating, muscle pain, among others.
(If symptoms worsen)
Headache, vomiting, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, feeling weak, convulsions, loss of consciousness, etc.
If you find someone you suspect of having a heatstroke
- Immediately take the person to a cool place.
- Loosen their clothing and cool their body (apply an ice pack to their neck, armpits, and groin).
- If the person is unable to drink water on their own or respond normally, do not hesitate to call an ambulance.
