Automotive Sheet Metal and Painting Course – Starting in October 2026 – Capacity: 5 people
Program Overview
Automotive sheet metal repair and painting is the process of restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition.
In this five-month course, students will acquire the specialized knowledge and technical skills needed to seek employment in the automotive repair industry.
Training Period
From Thursday, October 8, 2026, to Thursday, March 4, 2027.
Duration: 5 months
Training hours: 9:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
School holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and others.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be registered as job seekers at Hello Work.
- Foreign nationals must hold a valid residence status that permits employment in Japan.
- Applicants must be able to have daily conversations in Japanese and have basic ability to read and write hiragana.
- People with little or no professional experience in this field are welcome.
- Applicants should be highly motivated to work and aim for professional independence.
To take this training course, applicants must receive training instructions, a training recommendation, or training support instructions from Hello Work.
Course Fee
The course fee is free.
However, students will need to pay for personal items such as protective equipment and accident insurance. The estimated cost is approximately 10,000 yen.

Selection process: vocational aptitude test and individual interview.
How to apply: after receiving career counseling at your local Hello Work, submit the application form to the training consultation window.
After the application period ends, an examination voucher will be mailed to you.
Please note that if all available spots are filled during the first recruitment round, the second recruitment round will not be held.
Access
Kintetsu Nagoya Line: get off at Hisai Station, East Exit.
Take the Sanko Bus bound for Kumozu Kokancho or Karasu Park from bus stop ①. Get off at Takachaya Danchi-mae. From there, it is about a 5-minute walk.
JR Line: get off at Takachaya Station. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk.
By car: parking is available, but the number of spaces is limited.
