Medical interpreters are available at “Tsu Seikyo Byouin” Tsu Co-op Hospital (Tsu City) and Yonaha Okanoue Hospital (Kuwana City).

Medical interpreters provide interpretation free of charge (the medical treatment is not free).

Interpreters will maintain confidentiality.

Information about Mie Consultation Center for Foreign Residents (MieCo)

Mie Prefecture is taking various measures to ensure that Japanese and foreign residents can respect each other’s differences in lifestyles and cultures and work together to build a local community free of discrimination and prejudice.

As part of this initiative, the prefecture has set up the Mie Consultation Center for Foreign Residents (MieCo), a multilingual consultation service that accepts inquiries from foreigners living in the prefecture regarding residency procedures, employment, medical care, and other aspects of daily life.
