Take classes with experts and tutors from the museum and gain experience with crafts and fossil games at this special event (there will be no translators)! There will also be the special exhibition “War and Mie” (Senso to Mie – 戦争と三重) until August 30 (Sunday), and the thematic exhibition “Where are the whales” (Kujira ha iru ka !? – クジラはいるか!?), Between August 1 (Saturday) and November 29 (Sunday). Have a fun day at MieMu. Classes and workshops Make sea turtles with microplastic Details: Think about how microplastics can impact the lives of sea turtles, and draw a picture of turtles with microplastic collage. Date: August 1 and 2 (Saturday and Sunday), sessions at 10 am and 1:30 pm (each session will last about 1 hour and 30 minutes) Target Audience: anyone can participate! Children who have not yet entered shogakko must be accompanied by their parents. Woodblock prints (Ukiyo-e Hanga – 浮世絵版画) Details: Listen to explanations of Tokaido Gojusan Tsuginouchi Shono’s “ukiyo-e” prints (東海道五十三次 「庄 野」) and make some prints. Date: August 15 (Saturday), sessions at 10am and 1:30 pm (each session will last about 1 hour) Target audience: from shogakko students and older Make bird molds Details: Learn the difference between the shape and length of the birds’ wings and build molds of flying birds. Date: August 11 (Saturday), sessions at 10am and 1:30 pm (each session will last about 1 hour) Target audience: from shogakko students and older Make transparent soaps and finish off the coronavirus Details: Learn about the secrets of a soap, which is very effective in preventing coronavirus, and make your own soap.
