2016年度の自動車税の納期限について

This year’s deadline for tax payments is May 31st (Tuesday).

Every citizen owning a vehicle must pay this tax once a year. And the money collected is used for education, improving health and welfare services, transportation infrastructure maintenance, unemployment benefits, disaster preparedness and many other important government initiatives.

Every owner of a vehicle has already received an envelope containing a picture of a red car (see the model below).

Automobile Tax Payments can be made through the bank and also through others facilities including convenience stores.  You can also use a credit card to pay your tax (over the internet).

If the deadline expires, a “late payment fee” will be charged along with the automobile tax.

And for those who do not pay even after receiveing the late payment notice, a penalty determined by law will be applied, and material assets may be seized such as vehicles, salary, among others.

Make the payment until May 31st.

Your Tax Payment receipt is required when you take your vehicle for an inspection (shaken) so please keep it in a safe place.

Results of Junior Summit 2016 in Mie

2016年ジュニア・サミットin三重 開催結果

“Junior Summit 2016 in Mie” is an event related to G7 Summit in Ise-Shima, where young people between the ages of 15 and 18 representing the participating countries sit round. “The planet, local environment and a sustainable society for the connection with the next generation was the main topic and, divided into groups, the following 4 sub-topics were discussed, “Climate changes and decarburization”, “Economic growth and social inequality”, “Human resources development” and “Overcome the gender inequality”. The result of these topics has been compiled in the final document “Kuwana Junior Communique”.

During this session, both debate and content visit were carried out, which have contributed for the discussions, as exploring the natural beauties and the rich traditional culture of Mie Prefecture. High school Japanese students, as well as other citizens in the prefecture sat around with the participants in activities related to information exchange and interaction that were divided into groups and carried out in many regions in Mie.

Location: The city of Kuwana was the principal office, all the regions in Mie Prefecture, visit to Tokyo
Participants 2 participants, boys and girls between the ages of  15 and 18, were selected from each participating country of G7 – total of 28 young people

April 23rd (Saturday) Content visit contributory to the discussion
Based on the topic “The planet and local environment and a sustainable society for the connection with next generation”, the participnts have learned the activities in Mie Prefecture and remarked what content would be taken to the discussion.

①    Fishing Cooperation Asakusa

Methods to keep the natural resources, such as the environmental research Higata, the launching of oyster matrices, the regulation of fishing volume, among others.

②    The pollution in Yokkaichi and the Future Center of Local Environment

Through the history on pollution in Yokkaichi all the work of Mie’s citizens was remarked in order to the industrial development and the environmental protection go ahead together, so the environmental protection techniques can be taken to other countries among others.

③    NTN KK Research laboratory of advanced technology

Activities related to reduced production of carbon dioxide and regarding a circulation model of natural energy and techniques of energy saving aiming a less carbon society were remarked.

April 23rd (Saturday) Exchange activity in the city of Kuwana “Kuwana Night”
The event “Kuwana Night” was held by the Citizens Council of Kuwana for the Junior Summit at Nabana no Sato.

The group joined an interactive activity with a float used in Ishidori festival, tried out the hamaguri oyster and enjoyed the begonia garden and illumination.

April 24th (Sunday) Regarding the sessions
Very intense discussions were carried out and divided in the 4 groups: “Climate changes and decarburization”, Global economic growth and social inequality”, Human resources development” and “Overcome the gender  inequality”.

April 25th (Monday) Exchange and interactive activity in many regions of Mie Prefecture
Participants were divided into 4 groups to explore the natural beauties and the rich cultural tradition of Mie and deep the exchange with high school students, as well as the citizens of the prefecture.

April 26th (Tuesday) Presentation of the achieved results
The presentation of the achieved results has been carried out.

Representatives of the groups divided into the sub-topics “Climate changes”, “Social inequality”, Human resources development” and Gender inequality” presented the brief of the achieved results on discussions, and this event was attended by the Prime-Minister’s wife, Akie Abe, the governor of Mie Prefecture, Suzuki, and others.

April 27th (Wednesday) Report presentation of the achieved results to Prime Minister Abe.
The representative of “Kuwana Junior Communique” handed out to prime-minister Abe in person the brief of the achieved results on the discussions. The speech was made by the representative Kamihoriuchi Rikuo

April 28th (Thursday) Farewell reception
The closing schedule of “Junior Summit 2016” event in Mie had a farewell reception at a hotel in Tokyo.
