The Mie Prefectural Tsu Advanced Technical School is accepting applications for the Metal Forming Course starting in October 2026.

Those interested should consult with a Hello Work (Public Employment Security Office).

Training Period

October 9, 2026 (Friday) to March 8, 2027 (Monday)

Excluding Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and other days on which no training is scheduled.

Training hours: 8:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

Costs

• There is no tuition fee.
• At the time of enrollment, a payment of 20,000 yen will be required to cover work clothes, protective equipment, accident insurance, and other expenses.

Qualifications and Certificates That May Be Obtained

• JIS Welding Skill Qualification – Basic Level SA-2F, SA-3F and A-2F (optional)
• Gas Welding Skills Training Completion Certificate
  Training institution registered by the Director of the Mie Labour Bureau (Registration No. 17-4)
• Special Education Completion Certificate for Arc Welding
• Special Education Completion Certificate for Replacement of Grinding Wheels
• Slinging (Tamakake) Skills Training Completion Certificate
  Training institution registered by the Director of the Mie Labour Bureau (Registration No. 20-2)

Eligibility

This course is intended for people who are motivated to acquire skills in the Metal Forming Course and find employment, and who meet one of the following conditions:

1. Foreign nationals who hold a status of residence with no restrictions on employment activities.
   Applicants must be able to conduct everyday conversations in Japanese and read and write hiragana.
2. People with no work experience or limited work experience.

Vocational Training Entrance Selection

Anyone wishing to take the course must participate in the entrance selection process.

1. Date of Entrance Selection

Second entrance selection: September 25, 2026 (Friday)

2. Application

Anyone wishing to participate in the entrance selection must consult with a Hello Work (Public Employment Security Office).

3. Selection Process

• Explanation of the training program
• Procedures for applying to participate in the course
• Aptitude test
• Hiragana test
• Individual interview

4. Arrival Time

On the day of the entrance selection, please arrive at the Tsu Advanced Technical School by 9:00 a.m.

5. What to Bring

• Writing materials: black ballpoint pen, pencil, and eraser
• Residence Card (Zairyu Card, foreign nationals only)
• Hello Work reception slip and one of the following documents:
  1. For those eligible for unemployment insurance benefits: Unemployment Insurance Eligibility Certificate.
  2. For those without unemployment insurance: Identification document such as a driver’s license, My Number Card, etc.

Enrollment Procedures

1. Successful applicants will receive an admission notification and the necessary enrollment documents by mail.
2. No information regarding acceptance or rejection will be provided by telephone or other means.
