Results of Junior Summit 2016 in Mie 2016年ジュニア・サミットin三重 開催結果 Share!FacebookEmailTwitterWhatsApp 2016/05/19 Thursday Announcements, Highlights “Junior Summit 2016 in Mie” is an event related to G7 Summit in Ise-Shima, where young people between the ages of 15 and 18 representing the participating countries sit round. “The planet, local environment and a sustainable society for the connection with the next generation was the main topic and, divided into groups, the following 4 sub-topics were discussed, “Climate changes and decarburization”, “Economic growth and social inequality”, “Human resources development” and “Overcome the gender inequality”. The result of these topics has been compiled in the final document “Kuwana Junior Communique”. During this session, both debate and content visit were carried out, which have contributed for the discussions, as exploring the natural beauties and the rich traditional culture of Mie Prefecture. High school Japanese students, as well as other citizens in the prefecture sat around with the participants in activities related to information exchange and interaction that were divided into groups and carried out in many regions in Mie. The group joined an interactive activity with a float used in Ishidori festival, tried out the hamaguri oyster and enjoyed the begonia garden and illumination. In addition to the blitz in areas near the airport, security checking has been carrying out in all the complex of Centrair. For those with scheduled flight, it’s recommended to arrive at the airport in advance, as the check-in process may take more time than normal. We ask the collaboration and comprehension of everyone regarding the policing in meeting summit. Blitz near Centrair Since mid May policing has been enhanced with blitz nearby Rinku IC. We ask the collaboration of all the vehicles travelling through expressway heading the airport, to get off once in Rinku IC and go through the blitz. Due to this process, traffic congestion near Rinku IC may occur, therefore, for those people going towards shopping area among other locations in the city of Tokoname, it is recommended to get off at Tokoname IC.
