Mie Omoiyari Parking Usage Permit System ~ Extending the period of use for expectant and nursing mothers ~

Mie Prefecture issues “Omoiyari Parking lot” usage certificates to people with disabilities, elderly people who need nursing care, expectant mothers, injured people, and others who have difficulty walking.

When using the Omoiyari Parking Lot, please post your usage card on the rearview mirror, etc., so that it can be easily seen from the outside of the car.

From April 1, 2023, we will extend the period during which pregnant and nursing mothers can use the facility so that they can go out with their infants without worry.

Before extension: From the acquisition of the mother and child health handbook(boshi kenko techo) to 1 year and 6 months after childbirth

After extension: From the acquisition of the Mother and Child Health Handbook(boshi kenko techo) to 2 years after childbirth

In the case of multiple birth (twins, triplets, etc.), up to 3 years after birth.

About the extension application procedures

  1. Starting March 1, 2023 (Wednesday), the Child and Welfare Department Community Welfare Division (Kodomo Fukushi-bu Chiiki Fukushi-ka) will start accepting advance applications (electronic applications and mail applications only).
  2. From April 3, 2023 (Monday), the Child and Welfare Department Community Welfare Division, prefectural welfare offices (Hokusei, Takidokai, Kihoku, Kinan), public health centers (Suzuka, Tsu, Matsusaka, Iga ), and the application (electronic application, mail application, window application) will be accepted at the counter in charge of each municipality.

みえ外国人相談サポートセンター「MieCo(みえこ)」のお知らせ

Mie Prefecture have a consultation center for foreign residents.  If you have any problems in your daily life, please consult MieCo., all consultation matters will be confidential.  Please feel free to consult with us.

Phone consultations

Call 080-3300-8077.

When the call is connected, say your preferred language.  A translator for that language will speak to you along with the MieCo employee, resulting in a 3-person call.  Depending on the content, a specialized organization will be convened so that you can solve your problem.

Inquiries at the MieCo Service Desk

Staff who speak the language of your choice will assist you in principle.  If the staff does not speak your language, an interpreter will help over the phone.

By train: 1 minute walk from Tsu Station east exit.

By car: Parking is free for up to 30 minutes.  If it exceeds 30 minutes, a fee will be charged.

Monday to Friday (closed on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and New Year’s holidays, between December 29th and January 3rd)

*Until March 31, 2023, appointments will be made on Sunday.

Visa procedures, work, health, well-being, pregnancy, paternity and maternity, education, etc.

Matters that CANNOT be consulted

Translation of documents, translation for commercial purposes and civil cases, face-to-face translation, medical translation, etc.
