The number of accidents is expected to increase due to the intense summer heat.

Follow the traffic rules, pay attention to your physical condition, stay hydrated and try to take breaks when necessary so that you don’t get involve or cause a traffic accident.

    1. Prevention of accidents with the elderly and children
  • When driving, pay close attention, always anticipate hazards and drive carefully, respecting the elderly, children, people with disabilities.
  • Seniors should understand the effects of changes in physical function that occur with age on driving, and try to drive in accordance with the weather and physical conditions. And when crossing the road, consider your walking speed and don’t force yourself to cross.
  • Slow down your car when you are near schools or school roads, and always make sure there are no pedestrians around.
  • Watch out for children when driving.
  • Bicycles are in the same category as cars. Cyclists should always abide by traffic rules, and get accident insurance.
  • When teaching children road rules, teach what is dangerous and why.
    1. Pedestrian priority
  • Pedestrians have priority at the crosswalk. If there is a person near the crosswalk, slow down so that you can easily stop the car, and before crossing the crosswalk, stop the car and wait until the person crosses the lane.
  • Pedestrians should always use the crosswalk if there is a crosswalk nearby when crossing the road.
