It houses approximately 6,000 works, including paintings and sculptures. The majority of the collection consists of paintings called yōga (Western painting). What kind of painting is Western painting? This time, so that everyone can better appreciate these works, the museum has prepared explanations of the paintings in “easy Japanese.” “Easy Japanese” is a type of Japanese that avoids difficult words and explains things in a way that the listener can understand.
