Message from the Governor of Mie (June 29, 2022) ~Take preventive measures and protect yourself from heat stroke~

2022/07/12 Tuesday Announcements, Education

三重県知事からのメッセージ(2022年6月29日)~熱中症に気を付けながら、感染症対策をしてください~

The rainy season (tsuyu) is over and we have entered the intense summer.  From the months of July to September, it will be necessary to take measures to protect your life and health from heat stroke and other dangers of summer.

About wearing face masks

Many people must be unsure about removing the face mask from their face as we all continue to wear a face mask as a method of prevention against the coronavirus.

Now, it is no longer necessary for children to wear face masks during physical education classes, physical activities at clubs (bukatsu), and when going to and from school, whether on foot or by bicycle.  However, we ask that everyone keep a safe distance from others when removing the face mask.

If you are at a distance of more than 2 meters, or you are not talking to another person, it is not necessary to wear a face mask.

Face masks are important to protect yourself and our loved ones.  So continue to wear masks if you can’t keep a safe distance from others.

About heat stroke

Use a hat and umbrella for sunny days when you are out and about.

When at home and indoors, use fans and air conditioners to keep the place air-conditioned.

Always stay hydrated before feeling thirsty.
