Target employment placeContents of work

  • Iron structure = welding, machining and thin metal sheets processing)
  • Metal pieces production = welding and press working
  • Architectural sheet metal = sheet metal processing


  1. JIS welding certification (SA-2F, SA-3F basic grade)
  2. Certification of skill training course of gas welding registered by <Mie Labor Bureau Director Registration Teacher Institution (Mie Labor Bureau No. 17-4)>
  3. Certification of safety and health special education in Arc Welding.
  4. Certificate of completion of special education for free grinding and wheel replacement.
  5. (Optional) Slinging skill training course certificate <Registration training institution of Mie Labor Bureau (Mie Labor Bureau No. 20-2)>

Number of participants: 10 persons

Training period

April 7, 2022 (Thursday) to September 2, 2022 (Friday) – Duration of 6 months
(Except Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and days on which the prescribed training is not conducted)
Training time: 8:30 ~ 15:40


Tuition is FREE

At the time of the entrance procedure, work expenditure, protective equipment, disaster insurance etc. will cost 20,000 yen.

Target Participants

Those who are motivated to acquire skills and find employment in the metal forming department, who fall under any of the following:

  1. A foreign nationals who have a status of residence with no restrictions on employment activities
    ※ However, they must have a daily conversation level in Japanese, and can read and write Hiragana
  1. Those who do not have work experience or less experience.

Vocational training entrance screening

Those who wish to join the training must participate in the entrance examination.

  1. Test dates
    First selection: February 14, 2022 (Monday)

Second selection: March 7, 2022 (Tuesday)

Third selection: March 24, 2022 (Thursday)
(Please note that the second and third screening will not be implemented if the number of participants has already reached the capacity.)

  1. For those who wish to participate in the entrance examination, please consult the Public Employment Security Office (Hello Work). In addition, please contact the school by 5 pm the day before the entrance selection day.
  2. The entrance examination content is suitability test, hiragana test, individual interview.
  3. Please come to the Tsu technical school by 9 o’clock on the day of the opening date.
  4. On the examination day be sure to bring:
  • Writing material (black ballpoint pen, pencil, eraser)
  • Personal Seal (Shachihata model will not be accepted)
  • Residence card (only for foreign nationals)
  • Hello Work Card and one of the following:
  1. For those receiving unemployment insurance, the KOYO HOKEN JUKYU SHIKAKUSHA-SHO.
  2. CHOSASHO for high school graduates (for employment)
  3. SHUSHOKU SOUDANHYO (Employment Advice Sheet) for recent chugakko graduates
  4. For those other than mentioned above, bring identification card (driver’s license, health insurance card, etc.)

Admission procedure

  1. The school decision notice and documents for admission procedure will be mailed to successful applicants. Please proceed according to the entrance procedure described in the documents.
  2. We can not respond to inquiries about entry acceptance by phone etc.

Mie Prefecture Declaration on Preventive Measures against the Coronavirus (January 12 to January 31, 2022)

Since the beginning of January 2022, the number of cases of coronavirus has been gradually increasing.  In the last week, 8 out of 100,000 people were infected with the coronavirus.  We enter winter and the number of times we spend indoors increases, so authorities are concerned about the possibility of an increase in infection.

Therefore, it will be necessary to continue with the procedures to combat the coronavirus.

To all the residents of Mie Prefecture

  • Use the facemask correctly, wash and disinfect hands and fingers, ventilate the environment well and take basic preventive measures
  • Closed, crowded places and/or places which requires contact increases the risk of infection, so please avoid such places.
  • If you feel any changes in the condition of your body, avoid leaving the house and consult a hospital.
  • If you are concerned that you may be infected, make an appointment even if you do not have symptoms.
  • Avoid going to other prefectures (unless it is necessary to maintain your daily needs.
  • When eating with someone, put the facemask on when having a pause from eating and when you finished eating and avoid talking (mokushoku).
  • Meals with many people for long periods of time increase the risk of infection. So, eat with 4 or fewer people at the same table.
  • Go to establishments that are accredited by “Anshin Mieria”, Mie Prefecture’s hospitality and safety facility certification system.

To all residents of other Prefectures

  • The Mie government asks you to visit the prefecture only if necessary.
