The Civil Traffic Safety Movement will be held at the end of the year

2017/11/27 Monday Mie Info Seminars and Events
平成29年「年末の交通安全県民運動」を実施します

PortuguêsEspañolFilipino中文English日本語

The end of the year is a season with a tendency to increase the number of accidents due to the fact that the day ends earlier, aside from the changes in the flow and the intensity of the traffic.

Also, one cannot forget the increased chances of finding someone drunk driving after year-end parties (bonenkai). This is a very propitious time for drunken driving accidents.

In order to raise awareness about traffic safety, protect rules and prevent accidents, the “Civil Movement of Traffic Safety at the End of the Year” will be held.

Period December 1, 2017 (Friday) until December 10 (Sunday)

Issues to be addressed

Prevention of traffic accidents involving the elderly and children
It will be held to promote countermeasures especially in relation to accidents between cars and pedestrians at dusk

Protection and preference of pedestrians

When there are pedestrians crossing the pedestrian lane, the cars must stop before the lane.

Correct use of child seats and safety belts

Eradication of drunk driving

The alcohol consumption is prohibited until the age of 20. Driving drunk is an act that will be severely punished.

You should not drive cars, motorcycles and bicycles after drinking alcohol, even if it is in small quantities.

Even after the end of the Civil Traffic Safety Movement, please continue to collaborate to prevent traffic accidents!
