Mie Youth Wind Orchestra

*Wind refers to musical instruments wind/blow

Mie Youth Wind Orchestra is a band that plays mettalic musical instrument like blow ( e.g, trombone), consisting of “chugakko” (junior high school) students and “koko” (high school) students from Mie Prefecture. The orchestra will hold a special concert to commemorate 20 years of “Mie-ken Bunka Kaikan” opening (Cultural Hall of Mie Prefecture)!! This concert will be held thanks to professional orientations, especially from “Shin Nihon Philharmonic” members.

“World Heritage” A commemorative exhibition celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Kumano Kodo’s Designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

2015年3月7日(土)~4月5日(日)熊野古道センターで企画展「世界遺産図展」を開催

This exhibit features the work of artist Koichi Matsuda, who has produced sketches and CG art of various UNESCO World Heritage Sites.0388-1_エローラーの石窟寺院群_インドA

Matsuda’s colorful works have a dream-like quality that resonates with viewers, and highlights the importance and beauty of his subjects, which have stood the test of time.

This exhibit contains works featuring about 40 locations, including new pieces that Matsuda produced after a recent trip to the sacred sites and pilgrimage routes in the Kii Mountain Range in summer and autumn of 2014.
