Mie Prefectural Museum (MieMu) will hold its 45th special exhibition, “Vehicles for Everyone: Mie’s Railways Galore,” from Saturday, October 24, 2026.
Marking the 150th anniversary of the founding of Mie Prefecture, the exhibition looks back at the region’s history while bringing together the railways that continue to serve Mie today. Other forms of transportation, including ropeways, will also be featured. The event offers plenty for visitors of all ages, including rides on various miniature trains and displays of railway toys.

Adults: ¥1,000 (¥800); students: ¥600 (¥480); high school students and younger: free
- The prices in parentheses are the group rates for parties of 20 or more.
- The permanent exhibition requires a separate admission fee. Combination tickets for both exhibitions are also available.
- Admission is free for visitors with a disability certificate or similar documentation, as well as for one accompanying caregiver.
- On the third Sunday of each month, in observance of “Family Day,” visitors can enter at the group-discount rate.
