The “Kenmin no Hi Kinen Jigyo” will be held in conjunction with the Mie Kenmin no Hi on April 18th. This time, the theme will be (Mezasou! “Bosai no Nichijo-ka”〜 Shiru・Sonaeru・Kodo suru).

  1. Bosai Science Show
    1. Date and time: April 14, 2018 (Sat) 13: 00 ~ 15: 00 (Opening 12: 30 ~)
    2. Place: Mie Ken Sogo Bunka Center Frente Mie Tamokuteki Hall
    3. Contents:
      Introduction the mechanisms of disaster through experiments in an easy-to-understand manner.
      Disaster prevention science show where kids as well as adults can learn and enjoy.

  2.  Stamp Rally

      (Stamp rally is accepted until 15:30)
    2. Place: Mie Ken Sogo Bunka Center Shukusai hiroba, Chishiki no hiroba, Frente Mie Seminar room
    3. Contents:
      Enjoy various disaster prevention knowledge by going around various disaster prevention booths.
      We will give away disaster prevention goods.
    4. Participation fee: Free (No advance application required)
  3. Free Opening of Prefecture Facilities

The free opening of public facilities in the prefecture will be held in conjunction with the Kenmin no Hi Kinen Jigyo event on April 14th, For each facility, please check the following PDF file (Japanese only).

Regarding the rules to observe when gathering shellfish

貝拾いをするときの守るべき規則について

The season for gathering shellfish is already here, Mie Prefecture has established rules for protecting the marine resources. Even during shellfish gathering, there are rules that must be observed, and violating it will be subject to fines. Let ‘s follow the rules and enjoy gathering shellfish.

  1. Prohibition of the use of a scoop or a rake

People who are not recognized as fishermen are prohibited from catching fishery animals and plants using a scoop (an instrument with a net or basket at the end of the bar).

  1. Restrictions on the size of asari clams and hamaguri clams

It is forbidden to catch asari clams of 2 cm or less, and hamaguri clams of 3 cm or less.

  1. Prohibited places for shellfish gathering

Do not gather shellfish without permission in places where fishery rights are set. If you do not know whether the place allows shellfish gathering, please contact the local fishery cooperative association.
