The 9th Waku Waku Festival!

Let’s celebrate parenting!

Businesses and regions which belong to the Support Network for Raising the Next Generation are proud to present the 9th Celebration of Parenting! Waku Waku Festival! to support the healthy development and rearing of children in Mie.

Several programs will be introduced, commencing with the “Raising Boys Project” which is one of Mie Prefecture’s programs addressing the declining birth rate issue.

Food and drink booths will also be available so come and visit us at Iga!

Please Note: Parking near the Ken-ritsu Yume Dome Ueno is limited therefore there will be shuttle buses departing every 30 minutes from the temporary car park.

F1日本グランプリ(10月3日~5日)関連イベントの紹介

The 2014 Formula 1 Japan Grand Prix will take place at the Suzuka Circuit for three days from October 3rd (Friday) to October 5th (Sunday).

The Suzuka F1 Japan Grand Prix Regional Revitalization Association is affiliated with Japan, Mie Prefecture, and the surrounding cities and towns. These groups are working together to put on various events to promote the Suzuka F1 Grand Prix. In addition to holding the promotional events, information on transportation access is being provided to the public.

Some of the events are outlined below:

F1 Movie Festival

Senna  (2010 Film)

Date: Thursday, 2nd October to Sunday, 5th October

Time: 7:00pm

Location: Aeon Cinema Suzuka, 4-1-2 Shonohayama, Suzuka, Mie-ken

Admission: 500 yen (small serving of popcorn included)

Local Festival before the Suzuka F1 Japan Grand Prix Event

To promote the F1 in Suzuka, this event will offer an opportunity for visitors to try the local delicacies. A talk show hosted by motor racing commentators and live performances will also take place.

Tickets to the F1 are not required to attend this event.

Date: Friday, 3rd October

Time: 4pm to 8pm

There will be several approaches in the campaign to ensure smooth travel in Suzuka during the F1 event. These are outlined below:

  • increased railway and bus services
  • the introduction of a priority lane for shuttle buses on the Chusei Bypass
  • the endorsement of alternate travel routes to alleviate traffic at the Suzuka Interchange
  • live transportation information on our twitter feed
