Mie Prefecture is currently accepting applications for prefectural housing.

There are four application periods each year, and the current application period will run from Friday, January 6^th to Friday, January 31^st. After filling out the appropriate fields, applicants should attach any documents necessary and use the provided envelope to send their completed application form to the designated administrative body of the region in which their desired residence is located. Applications must be made by post and only applications postmarked within the application period will be considered.

The application guide is available at construction offices in every municipality in Mie Prefecture (guides are available in Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.) If a large number of applications are received then successful candidates will be chosen through by lottery.

Successful applicants will be able to move into their residences on Sunday, April 1 2012
