Mie Prefecture is Asking for Your Cooperation in Answering a Questionnaire About Night Classes for Adults (Yakan Chugaku)

Mie’s Education Committee (Mie-ken Kyouiku Iinkai) is looking into whether there are people who wish to study for night education (yakan kyouiku).  The province is asking readers to cooperate in answering the questionnaire.

<What is a night class (yakan chugaku)>

These are schools with evening classes for people who have not completed their middle education (chugakko) . They can study after finishing work or after finishing their housework.  There are currently no night classes in Mie.

Emergency Assistance Training for Foreigners

災害時外国人支援のための図上訓練の参加者を募集します

We will provide information to foreigners who have been affected by the disaster and conduct training to learn how to respond practically.  If you are interested in assisting foreigners during a disaster, please apply.

  1. Date: January 26, 2020 (Sunday) – 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm
  2. Location: Mie Kenmin Koryu Center Information and Event Venue at UST Tsu 3F
    (Tsu-shi Hadokoro-cho 700)
  3. Contents:
    1 – Lecture: Assistance to foreign residents in case of floods
    2 – Practical Lesson: Management Training and Installation of Multilingual Natural Disaster Relief Center in Mie
    * There will be no translators.  All contents will be taught in Japanese.
  1. Target Audience: Government representatives, disaster prevention specialists, provincial citizens interested in assisting foreigners in case of disasters, etc.
  2. Capacity: approximately 40 people
  3. Participation Fee: Free
  4. Fill in the required items on the application form and send by FAX, email or mail.
