This event will be carried out aiming to raise local community’s awareness on the existence of several nationalities and create a society of multicultural living where people from different cultural origins can live harmoniously.

On the subject “Enjoying International Exchange through the 5 senses”, learning the culture and games from several countries, it is an event of learning for participants, with workshop, stands of exhibitors, foreign countries culinary, sales of products and stage performance. An enjoyable international exchange, where everyone will learn about the culture differences mutually, deepening even more the multicultural understanding.

Date and time: December 4 (Sunday) – from 1 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Location: UST- Tsu 3F – Mie Kenmin Kouryu Center (Tsu-shi Hadokoro-cho 700)
Free entrance *Some products and food the tax consumption will be added.
Content:
<Stands > with exhibitions – workshops – sales of products from Brazil, Philippines, Peru, Bolivia, China, Tibet, Korea, Australia, Canada, Japan
< Stage performance> (between 15 to 20min each one)

1 p.m. –  shamisen
2 p.m. –  typical dance from Philippines
3 p.m. –  guitar performance from Brazilian school EAS
4 p.m. –  Midora presentation by a jazz band

Note: There is no free parking lot available, therefore, those people coming by car will have to afford the costs.

“The Ninja – ninjatte nanjya!?”

Ninjas are the representatives globally known as Cool Japan and most of people know them from dramas, animes, in addition to be a content of success, but their existence is still a mystery. In recent years, scientific researches have proven ninjas enjoy a practical and mixed knowledge regarding nature and society.  In this exhibition, visitors will learn the techniques, physical ability and knowledge through interacting activities and a content of easy comprehension. Come and take part of it!

  1. Exhibition details:
  • Period: 2016, October 25 (Tuesday) to 2017, January 9 (Monday)
    Closed on Mondays (if Monday is a holiday, it will be closed on the next day)
    Year-end/New-Year (29 December to 3 January)
  • Hours: from 9 a.m to 5 p.m (Saturday, Sunday and holidays until 7 p.m) – (entrance allowed until 30 minutes before the closure hour).
  • Location: Mie-ken Sogo Hakubutsukan (MieMu) – 3F – Kikaku Tenjishitsu (Tsu-shi Isshinden Kozubeta 3060)
  • Admission: Adult ¥800 – Students ¥480 – Free for students up to high school (it is necessary to pay a fee for the permanent exhibition)
  • Content:
    – STAGE 1 (exercising the body)
    The ninjutsu is known since ancient times by the performance of the movements, and the techniques are passed over the generations through manuscripts as well as verbally. Let’s practice all the trainings and strengthen the body!
    – STAGE 2 (improving the techniques)
    Participants will learn how to use darts, swords, camouflaged arms, water, projection, open devices and firearms, among others. In addition to food and medicine, deepening the scientific background and the techniques used by ninjas!
    – STAGE 3 (exercising the mind)
    This stage, participants will learn the mental control technique in which ninjas can apply the maximum force!
  1. Related Events: During the period of this exhibition, the following activities will be held simultaneously:
    (1) NINJA DAY: November 3 (Thursday, holiday)
    (2) Presentation “The Ninja History”: November 5 (Saturday)
    (3) NINJA Talk show “Account about ninja and ninjutsu- among historic facts and legends”: November 23 (Wednesday, holiday)
    (4) Workshop for children about ninja:  November 13 (Sunday)
    (5) Wearing ninja costumes for children: Nov 5 (Sat), 6 (Sun), January 7 (Sat), 9 (Mon, holiday)
    (6) Gallery Talk: Oct 29 (Sat), Nov 19 (Sat), Dec 24 (Sat), Jan 8 (Sun)
    *Activities (1) to (4) require advanced registration.
