There are many places with autumn leaves in Mie prefecture, such as the autumn leaves of the temple and the spot where light up is done. Here, we will introduce the recommended spots other than the spot introduced in 2016. Why not go out on a maple tree hunt this fall.

Meikokusan Shoubouji (鳴谷山 聖宝寺)
The famous Shoubouji Temple, famous for its autumn leaves in the garden, is a popular spot where you can enjoy 40 maple trees and autumn leaves of Ichou. Since there are 300 stairs, it is advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes.

Nabana no Sato (なばなの里)
Autumn colored with more than 300 maples trees. What is popular is the “Kagamiaku” which mirrors the maples trees beautifully on the surface of the water. Please enjoy it together with the famous illumination.

Suizawa no Momiji-dani (水沢のもみじ谷)
It is a landmark of autumn leaves which also appears in Hyakunin Isshu. Maples that dye the valley in red and the colors of the surrounding mountains are also spectacular. A momiji festival will be held on November 25, and the light up will also start.

Shindaibutsu-ji (新大仏寺)
Autumn leaves of a maple tree with a very beautiful 200 years old temple. When the fall season comes, the road to the temple is filled with a carpet of maple leaves.

Kitabatakeshi Takata-ato Tei’en (北畠氏館跡庭園)
It is a scenic site and historical site designated by the country. Together with the autumn leaves, a wonderful Japanese garden called Muromachi Gion with the natural scenery of Karesansui and the nature’s topography is also attractive.

Yamato-dani Keikoku (大和谷渓谷)
In the valley between the Miyagawachosuichi and Keikoku which stands out, the leaves on trees along the road turn red. Especially the road along the valley from the suspension bridge is a wonderful view.

From July 2018, reports on the number of patients that are infected have increased, mainly in the Kanto region, and in Mie prefecture, they are increasing year after year.

If a woman is infected with Rubella virus until around 20 weeks of pregnancy which is not yet sufficiently immunized against rubella virus, the fetus may be infected and the baby may be born with a disorder in the eyes, heart, ears, etc. (congenital rubella syndrome).

Women who are already pregnant can not receive vaccination against rubella, so it is most effective to receive vaccination before pregnancy. Also, it is better to make sure that people around pregnant woman are vaccinated to eliminate the risk of infection.

What is Rubella?

It is an acute eruptive infection caused by rubella virus. It infects by inhaling the virus that spreads through coughing or sneezing. When infected, symptoms such as fever, rash, lymph node swelling occur after 2 to 3 weeks. Often mild symptoms are experienced by children who are infected, but for adults, the symptoms may continue for a long time or become severe.

Method of treatment

There is no special treatment. For fever, arthritis, etc., symptomatic treatment to relieve symptoms are done.

Prevention method

Rubella vaccination is the most effective preventive method. Those who are eligible for regular vaccination (twice) based on the immunization law are eligible for vaccination free of charge.

Target person for routine vaccination

1st term: from 1 year old to 2 years old

2nd term: from 5 years old to 7 years old. Before entering elementary school
