Seminar on Disaster Prevention fo Foreigners in Suzuka City

鈴鹿市で開催される「外国人のための防災セミナー」について

A seminar on disaster prevention aiming foreign residents, as well as people interested in giving support to foreigners will be carried out in Mie Prefecture. At this seminar participants will learn how to proceed during a natural disaster, as well as how to help in the case of a natural disaster.
Among foreign residents living in Mie Prefecture there are people who do not understand Japanese as well as people from countries where there is no occurrence of earthquakes.
At this seminar participants will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on how to proceed to give the proper support to foreign residents and how to perform in the scenario of a natural disaster thus boosting the qualification of self-help and mutual assistance. The aim of this seminar is to promote the knowledge about disaster prevention and prepare more people to give support to the ones affected by disasters.

Date and time: January 28, 2017 (Saturday) – 2 p.m to 4 p.m
Location: Suzuka-shi Rodo Fukushi Kaikan (Suzuka-shi Kanbe Jishi-machi 388)
Content:

  • Seminar “How to be prepared and what to do in the case of a disaster”
  • Learning how to assemble a portable toilet and how to prepare food for emergency (there will be support in foreign language)

Target audience: foreign residents, people interested in giving support to foreigners
Free participation *All the participants will get useful items related do natural disasters
Capacity: about 30 people
Registration: fill in the attached form and send through FAX or the e-mail below
Due date: January 26, 2017 (Thursday) by 5 p.m
*Registration will be finished if the number of participants reaches capacity.
