Due to G7 Summit in Ise-Shima, non-governmental and non-profit organizations in Japan, in cooperation and aiming to achieve a “strong society formed by citizens”, develop proposals on subjects related to regional and international matters, and in order to the local and international societies are able to express their opinions, the “Shimin no Ise-Shima Summit will be held (abbreviation: Shimin Summit)”.

During the Shimin in Ise-Shima Summit, interpreters will be available, but only for English.

Period: 2016, May 23rd (Monday) and 24th (Tuesday)
Location: Jibasan Mie (Mie-ken, Yokkaichi-shi, Yasujima 1-3-18)
Target audience: Everyone
Admission: Free
(Fraternization participants will be charged ¥3,000.)

Ise-Shima Summit – Regulation related to drone overflight

伊勢志摩サミット開催期間はドローン飛行が規制制限されます

The regulatory law regarding drone overflight during G7 Summit in Ise-Shima is in effect

The law prohibiting the overflight of small unmanned aerial vehicle on the area where G7 Summit will be held, as well as next to related institutions, has been established. According to this ordinance, the ban on drone overflight or other type of unmanned aerial vehicle on Kashikojima region, located in the city of Shima Ago-cho, as well as in peripheral area is in effect.

This ordinance will be in force between 2016, March 27 and May 28.

People using drones or unmanned aerial vehicle without permission issued by Mie’s governor will be subjected to a penalty of over 1 year in prison and a fine up to ¥500,000.
