“Kumano no Youkai-tachi” Exhibition
The Kumano Kodo is regarded the “path of prayer” or “the path of healing” since ancient times, besides being a “pilgrimage route” where many people lost their lives during the journey.
Inside de deep jungle of Kumano, where the nature is worshipped, there are several “traditional legends of misterious apparitions” as well as “mysterious tales”.
In this exhibition, several legends will be presented that even over the years remain being told.

Experimental activities summer special edition
We will carry out several experimental activities that visitors can join promptly. Come with your family, friends and even by yourself and do not miss the chance to join it. What about to leave registered a good summer remembrance here at Kumano Kodo Center?

Aug 14: “Hinoki no Mokkin” [ ¥500 ]
Assemble your xylophone and enjoy the scent and sound of cypress.
Aug 15: “Meikyu no Hako” [ ¥500 ]
Looking at the box interior you will see an endless and colorful labyrinth!
Aug 16: “Owase Hinoki no Mokkou Kyoshitsu” [from ¥100 ]
Enjoy woodwork assembling a toy or other available item!
