Toyoshiro Fukuda (1904-1970) was born in Akita Prefecture and is one of the artists who revolutionized post-war Japanese art. In this exhibition, we will be exploring Fukuda’s work, including his more revolutionary works and his poetic portraits of his birthplace Akita. This exhibition is in cooperation with the Akita Prefecture Modern Art Gallery.
