Mie Prefecture International Student Scholarship – Recruitment of Scholarship for 2018 –

三重県留学生奨学金 ― 2018年度 奨学生の募集 ―

In Mie Prefecture, in-order to develop the human resources rich in international perspective, we offer scholarships to privately financed overseas students studying abroad, foreign students studying in the prefecture, and foreign students studying at a medical and nursing universities in the prefecture, etc. The contents of the recruitment of scholarships for 2018 are as follows.

[Target and benefit amount]

There is an upper limit on the tuition fee of the enrolled university, the amount to be provided are:

  1. Private Expenses   up to 5 International students – up to 1,200,000 yen per year (School agreement up to 840,000 yen per year)
  2. Private Expenses   up to 5 Foreign students – up to 600,000 yen per year
  3. Private Expenses   up to 3 Medical / Nursing foreign students – up to 600,000 yen per year

[Qualification requirements]

  1. Privately financed overseas international students (those who wish to study abroad, as of April 1, 2018)
    1. Those who have an address in Mie prefecture continuously for more than one year, or their children.
    2. If you are a foreign national and meet one of the conditions below
      1. Persons who have either residence status of “Permanent Resident”, “Spouse of Japanese, etc.”, “Spouse of Permanent Resident etc.”, “Settlers”, and who have an address in Mie prefecture continuously for more than one year.
      2. Those who have a “Special Permanent Resident” status of residence and who have an address in Mie prefecture for more than one year
      3. Those who have the status of residence as above
  2. Privately financed foreign international students attending universities etc. in the prefecture.
  3. Privately financed foreign students attending a doctor and nurse training institutions in the prefecture.

* Must be under 40 years old as of April 1, 2018

From March 5, 2018 (Monday) to April 20 (Friday) until 5pm (No later than, Mailing allowed)
