If a person who has not graduated from high school took the Proficiency Level of Upper Secondary School Graduates test and passes it, they will be eligible to take the entrance exams for university, junior college, and vocational school. Also, test takers that pass this test are certified as having knowledge equivalent or higher to a high school graduate, and they may cite this result on resumes and when applying a qualification tests. Those who wish to register for the exam please refer to the information provided below.

Those who will be 16 years of age or older by March 31, 2020 can take this certification exam. However, the final academic record does not become a high school graduate

1. Distribution period of the test guidebook

First period: From April 8 (Monday) to May 15 (Wednesday)

Second period: From July 19 (Friday) to September 12 (Thursday)

2. How to obtain the test guidebook
   1. Collect in person

3. How to apply
   Please use the envelope attached to the test guidebook and mail it by registered mail to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

4. Application Period

First period: April 26, 201 (Friday) to May 15 (Thursday)

Second period: August 29, 2019 (Thursday) to September 12 (Thursday)

※Applications postmarked from 1st period May 15th (Thursday) will be accepted; 2nd period until September 12th (Thursday).

5. Test date

First period: August 6, 2019 (Tuesday), August 7 (Wednesday)

Second period: November 9, 2019 (Saturday), November 10 (Sunday)

6. Test Location

First Period: Mie Daigaku (Tsu-shi, Kurima-machiYa-cho 1577 )

Second period: Mie Ken Tsu Chosha (Tsu-shi Sakurabashi 3-446-34)
