The goal is to help people in need through food bank activities and reduce food waste. The prefecture is looking for companies and organizations to participate as suppliers and recipients of the food products. Food bank activities refers to the non-profit activities by providing food that would otherwise be discarded to people in need. 1 – What is Mieru Sharing information about food supply (entering food data by suppliers, viewing and selecting recipients) Establishing the connection (matching) Mutual contact about receiving forms and other information Sharing the food distribution situation (insertion by recipients, checking by suppliers) 2 – Como se inscrever Application Method Application requests will be made through Mieru’s homepage (https://www.miefood.jp/). After Mie government approves, it will be possible to use the service (available via computers, tablets and smartphones). Who can apply Supplier Food companies and organizations (food production companies, retail stores, wholesale stores), disaster food stock ownership organizations and companies. Recipients Food bank organizations, children’s canteens, social welfare associations, etc. (organizations that provide food to people in need in Mie).
