The Iseji route is a well-known ancient pilgrimage route of Kumano Kodo that runs through Mie Prefecture along with the Kiji route on the Wakayama side. To celebrate this milestone, an exhibition displaying the culture and history of the Iseji route of Kumano Kodo and the rich culture of Mie Prefecture will be held. Duration: Saturday, 11th October 2014 to Monday, 24th November 2014 The exhibition will be closed on the following days: Tuesday, 14th October Monday, 20th October Monday, 27th October Tuesday, 4th November Monday, 10th November Monday, 17th November Opening hours: 9am – 5pm (Weekends and Public Holidays close at 7pm) (Last entry allowed 30 minutes before closing) Venue: Mie Prefectural Museum (MieMu) 3rd Floor Exhibition Room 3060 Isshinden-kouzubeta, Tsu, Mie-ken 514-0061 Details: Approximately 600 pieces including “Kumano Kanjin Jikkai Mandalas” and other important cultural properties of Mie Prefecture will be on display.
