Hokusei High School, in the northern area of Yokkaichi City, is seeking part-time and correspondence course students for enrollment in October 2011. For detailed information on the required qualifications, application process and the content of the entrance exams, please read the attached file entitled Implementation Guidelines (Japanese only.)

As all classes and exams will take place in Japanese, Japanese language ability is essential.

【Outline】

1.Application Desk Period and Office Hours

From Monday 5th of September to Monday 12th September 2011, between the hours of 9am and 8pm (on the 12th of September the office will be open 9am to 5pm only)

2.Date, location and content of exam

Wednesday 14th September 2011 – from 9:00am

Exam will consist of an interview and essay

Kenritsu Hokusei Kōtō Gakkō (Yokkaichi-shi, Ōaza Mochifuku, Aza Yokoza 668-1)

 

3.Date and location of result announcement

Friday 16th September 2011 from 10:00am

The 11th Suzuka River Summer Event!

「第11回 夏の鈴鹿川イベント」が開催されます

When: 21st August 2011 from 10am – 3pm

Where: Suzuka-gawa Kasen Ryoku-chi on the west side of Sadagoro Bridge (Car parking and Restrooms available)

Organised by: The Suzuka River Summer Event Organising Committee

With the support of: Mie Prefecture, Suzuka City, Kameyama City

We’re currently recruiting volunteers for the above event. If you’re interested, then please apply by the 10th of August to Suzuka no Budou (we will print volunteer ID cards for those who want to help out.)

The main events

Children who are below the 6th grade of elementary school must be accompanied by an adult. In certain circumstances it is possible that some of the events may change.

Flying Beach Sandal Game Record Contest

Note:

The day before the event (20th August) from 9am, there will be a Suzuka-gawa Kasen Garbage Pick-up event at the venue. We’ll be meeting at 8.30 at the Soccer Grand car park. Tools and materials have been prepared and afterwards we’ll be going for shaved ice! We’re hoping for a lot of volunteers.
