Joint message from the governors of Aichi, Gifu and Mie Prefectures for the prevention of the  coronavirus

The spread of the coronavirus continues across the country. There are concerns about spread in Aichi, Gifu and Mie prefectures.

With the start of the summer holidays and the upcoming Obon Festival, which is a period where the number of contact with people are large, such as going back to hometowns, traveling and attending events has increased the spread of infections.

If the situation continues, there is a risk that the healthcare system will be overwhelmed. Also, the elderly and people with underlying medical conditions are at a higher risk of getting serious illnesses if they become infected.

Governors urge you to take basic preventive measures to prevent yourself and your loved ones from becoming ill and to reduce the burden on the health care system.  Also consider proactively vaccinating yourself with the new coronavirus vaccine.

Basic infection preventive measures

  • Regular ventilation
  • Wash and disinfect hands frequently
  • Wear a mask when visiting medical institutions and facilities for the elderly
  • When encountering elderly people or people with underlying medical conditions, be aware of changes in their physical condition and wear a mask

Certification

  1. JIS welding certification (SA-2F, SA-3F basic grade, 1-2F)
  2. Certification of skill training course of gas welding registered by <Mie Labor Bureau Director Registration Teacher Institution (Mie Labor Bureau No. 17-4)>
  3. Certification of safety and health special education in Arc Welding.
  4. Certificate of completion of special education for free grinding and wheel replacement.
  5. Slinging skill training course certificate <Registration training institution of Mie Labor Bureau (Mie Labor Bureau No. 20-2)>

Number of participants: 10 people

Training period

October 4, 2023 (Thursday) to March 5, 2024 (Tuesday) – Duration of 6 months

(Except Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and days on which the prescribed training is not conducted)

Training time: 8:30 ~ 15:40

Cost

Tuition is FREE

At the time of the entrance procedure, work expenditure, protective equipment, disaster insurance etc. will cost 20,000 yen.

Target Participants

Those who are motivated to acquire skills and find employment in the metal forming department, who fall under any of the following:

  1. A foreign nationals who have a status of residence with no restrictions on employment activities
    * However, they must have a daily conversation level in Japanese, and can read and write Hiragana
  1. Those who do not have work experience or less experience.

Vocational training entrance screening

Those who wish to join the training must participate in the entrance examination.

  1. Test dates

First Selection: August 28, 2023 (Monday)

Second Selection: September 14, 2023 (Thursday)

Third Selection: September 25, 2023 (Monday)

(Please note that the second and third screening will not be implemented if the number of participants has already reached the capacity.)

  1. For those who wish to participate in the entrance examination, please consult the Public Employment Security Office (Hello Work).
  2. The entrance examination content is suitability test, hiragana test, individual interview.
  3. Please come to the Tsu technical school by 9 o’clock on the day of the opening date.
  4. On the examination day be sure to bring:
  • Writing material (black ballpoint pen, pencil, eraser)
  • Personal Seal (Shachihata model will not be accepted)
  • Residence card (only for foreign nationals)
  • Hello Work Card and one of the following:
  1. For those receiving unemployment insurance, the KOYO HOKEN JUKYU SHIKAKUSHA-SHO.
  2. For those other than mentioned above, bring identification card (driver’s license, health insurance card, etc.)

Admission procedure

  1. The school decision notice and documents for admission procedure will be mailed to successful applicants. Please proceed according to the entrance procedure described in the documents.
  2. We can not respond to inquiries about entry acceptance by phone etc.

Closest access through public transport

  • JR= 15 min on foot from Takachaya Station
  • Kintetsu= get off at Hisai station, higashi guchi (west exit), take a bus from Sanko bus to Kumozu Koukan-cho or Karasu Koen, get off at Takachaya Danchi Mae and walk for 5 minutes.
