Workshops in natural surroundings using raw materials from Mie

Several organizations working to promote workshops in natural surroundings have joined to show the wonders of these activities through the “Workshops in natural surroundings using raw materials from Mie”. In Mie Prefecture, the sea, the mountains ans the rivers offer plenty of nature. During these workshops people will have the chance to explore a little of all. Come and take part of it!

Date and time: 2017, 11 March (Saturday) – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: Messe Wing Mie – exhibition hall A and B (Tsu-shi Kita Kouji-cho 19-1)

Content: members of Mie Marugoto Shizen Taiken Network will be present with a stand where the participants will have the opportunity to get to know the “presentation of the activities”, “practical workshops about nature”, among other subjects. (A fee will be charged for some workshops)

  • Experimental training of theatrical ninjutsu
  • Bouldering, slackline
  • Onewhell
  • Mikan juice preparing

  • Handicraft using wood

  • 11 a.m. to 11:05 a.m – Speech by Suzuki Eikei, Governor of Mie Prefecture
  • 11:05 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Lecture “7 missions of outdoor activities”: reflecting on natural disaster prevention”
    Lecturer: Tatsuno Isamu, President of Mont-bell
  • 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Presentation of each organization about the fascinating workshops in natural surroundings, among others

No to illegal waste disposal!

廃棄物の不法投棄について

Besides being illegal, improper waste disposal may lead to environmental pollution and destroy natural environment. Officials from Mie Prefectural Government carry out surveillance and educational activities, as well as officials from each city and municipality, related companies and also count on citizens collaboration aiming to create a wide monitoring system called “Building a society that does not allow illegal waste disposal”. We count on comprehension and collaboration of everyone aiming a nicer Mie Prefecture without illegal waste disposal.

Improper waste disposal, outdoor incineration, among others, are illegal acts. When notice someone improperly disposing garbage or waste, make a report calling the telephone numbers below. Free call.

If you have at your residence any item to be disposed that do not fit in determined collections by garbage collection system, please, contact the body in charge for waste disposal within your region and request collection service. Call in advance and get information because there are some items not allowed to be disposed at this facility.

*Important* About Home Appliances Recycling Law

Residential air conditioning, television, refrigerator, washing and drying machines are appliances determined to be recycled based on legislation. When there is the need to dispose one of these items, make a request for a home appliance shop or to the collection service available in the region you reside. There is a fee for collection, transport and recycling of home appliances. It is necessary to be aware about some companies advertising about free collection because among these ones, most of them are not allowed to work and may be adding to illegal waste disposal as well as to natural environment damage. If you have any question about the way to dispose home appliances, contact the department in charge in your city or municipality.
