*Regarding the public housing with vacancies that are not filled through the regular application, from the day after the lottery until the vacancies are filled, service will be provided on a first-come first- served basis until the first wednesday of the next month. The deadline for this supplementary registration is October 31.

* Single people will be able to move into provincial housing from April 2024.

Application for the First Semester of the Metal Modeling Course at Tsu Technical School 2025

三重県立津高等技術学校 金属成形科 2025年度 4月入校生の募集

Applications are now open for people wishing to acquire skills and find employment in the metal forming department. People wishing to take the course should consult their nearest public employment office (Hello Work).

Target audience

People who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Be a foreigner whose residence visa has no limitations on work activities.

*However, those interested must be able to read and write Hiragana and converse in Japanese on a daily basis.

  • Have little or no work experience.

Acquisition of certificates

Optional: JIS welding technical qualification – basic level (SA-2F, SA-3F, 1-2F)

Certificate of completion of the Gas Welding Course at educational institutions registered with the Ministry of Labor (Mie Roudou-kyoku Dai 17-4 Go)

Certificate of completion of the Electric Arc Welding Course

Certificate of completion of the special course for free emery change services

(Optional) Certificate of completion of the Tamakake Course registered with the Ministry of Labor (Mie Roudou-kyoku Dai 20-2 Go)

Course duration

April 10, 2025 (Thursday) to September 5, 2025 (Friday)

*Saturdays, Sundays, commemorative days and days when there is no training are excluded.

Time: 8:30 to 15:40

Cost

Classes are free of charge.

Upon registration, a fee of ¥20,000 will be charged for uniforms, protective equipment, accident insurance, etc.

Selection process

Anyone interested in taking part in the training must go through the selection process.

  1. Test days

First selection: February 17, 2025 (Monday)

Second selection: March 10, 2025 (Monday)

Third selection: March 21, 2025 (Friday)

(Please note: if the vacancies are filled on the first assessment day, the remaining tests will be canceled).

  1. All interested parties must go to the Hello Work office without fail.

  1. Show up at the Tsu Technical School on the day of the test by 9 a.m.
  2. What to bring on the day
  • Writing utensils (black pen, pencil, eraser)
  • Zairyu Card (only for foreign nationals)
  • Hello Work newsletter or one of the following:
    • KOYO HOKEN JUKYU SHIKAKUSHA-SHO for people receiving unemployment insurance.
    • CHOSASHO (for workers) for recent high school graduates
    • SHOKUGYO SOUDANHYO for recent high school graduates (chugakko)
    • Identification document (UNTEN MENKYO-SHO, KENKO HOKEN-SHO, among others) for people who do not fit the above items

Enrollment procedures

  • Those approved will receive notification of approval by post. Follow the procedure according to the information contained in this document.
  • The school will not answer any questions about approval by telephone.

Nearest access by public transport

  • JR – 15 min walk from Takachaya station
  • Kintetsu – Get off at the east exit of Hisai station, get on the Sanko Bus, direction Kumozu Koukan-cho, and get off at the Takachaya Danchi Mae stop. The school is a 5-minute walk away.
