Zero Drink Driving Ordinance enacted 1st July, 2013
Eradication of drink driving will come from education not harsher punishments. Mie Prefecture aims to bring about a stable, safe society, free from drink driving through collaboration with government and educational bodies, businesses and ordinary citizens. We seek to prevent drink driving through increased education and to raise awareness of manners, morals and the rules of society, as well as to help test for alcohol dependency and abuse through health checks to prevent re-offences.
