Pieces selected for this exhibit were chosen from among 9,295 submissions, 5,972 of which came from outside of Japan. 11 judges, including photographer Takeyoshi Tanuma, selected the pieces for display and awarded 6 judges prizes, 3 to pieces submitted from abroad, and 3 to pieces submitted from within Japan. Among the pieces selected for display, 6 were submitted by Mie citizens or residents, making Mie the exhibit’s second most represented prefecture. Share!
