The state of emergency alert in Mie has been lifted

2021/03/10 Wednesday Mie Info Announcements, Coronavirus
三重県新型コロナウイルス「緊急警戒宣言」を解除します

PortuguêsFilipino中文English日本語Tiếng Việt Nam

On January 14, 2021, Mie Prefecture declared the coronavirus “State of Emergency Alert”. With the decrease in numbers of new cases and the improvement of the contamination situation in the province, the “State of Emergency Alert” was lifted on March 7, 2021.

However, the province created the “9th version of Mie Prefecture guidelines for combating the coronavirus (only in Japanese)”, valid until April 30, 2021, due to the need to expand preventive measures and maintain the level of high alert since the Covid-19 threat is not over yet.

Observe the following items described in the 9th version of Mie Prefecture guidelines.

  1. Preventive Methods
  • Avoid organizing or participating in events where many people gather to eat, such as welcome and farewell parties, house parties, barbecues, hanami, etc.
  • If you are going to eat with other people, as much as possible, eat with just the people that are close to you. Do not share your cutlery with others.
  • Avoid sitting in front of or next to other people. Make small changes in your daily life to maintain social distancing.
  • Watch your alcohol intake
  • Follow the preventive measures of restaurants and other establishments.
  • When indoors, ventilate the area well and manage the temperature and humidity well.

  1. When going out
  • The Mie government asks all citizens of Mie to avoid going to provinces that are still in a state of emergency, or that are under the request of reduced establishment hours or under “infection preventive measures” (Man’en Boushi -to Juten Sochi -まん延防止等重点措置), except in cases of extreme necessity.
  • When going to other provinces that are not in the situations described above, stop and think first if it is really necessary to leave your home. If you are not feeling well, avoid leaving the house.
  • When going to other provinces to enter universities or schools, for work or other reasons, if possible go to your destination two hours in advance, avoid crowded places or meetings, avoid actiopossible can increase the risk of infection and take good care of your own health.
