Viruses normally mutate slowly as they multiply and spread. The basic structure of the coronavirus is believed to mutate at a rate of about one site in about two weeks. Currently, new mutant strains are being confirmed all over the world.
According to the experts, it is suggested that the B.1.1.7 strain (alpha strain) and the B.1.617 strain (delta strain) may be more infectious and transmissible than conventional viruses.
Whatever the mutant strain is, we should continue to take measures to combat the coronavirus such as avoiding the crowded, closed and poorly ventilated places, in addition to the 5 situations that increases the risk (of contamination), wearing facemask, washing hands, etc, remains effective. Mie’s government asks the citizen’s cooperation in preventing the virus.
