新型コロナウイルス感染症と診断された皆様へ(療養方法について)

2022/09/26 Monday Announcements, Coronavirus

Message to all people diagnosed with coronavirus

The public health center (hokenjo) will not contact people who have tested positive that are at low risk of worsening symptoms.  In principle, the treatment will be done at home.

Important points about home treatment

About medical treatment and accommodation facilities

In Mie Prefecture, there are treatment accommodation facilities for those who cannot recover at home.

Priority is given to admitting people with moderate symptoms and people who have tested positive at high risk of worsening symptoms.

Regarding admission for the purpose of isolating family members who live together, priority is given to people who fit into items 1 to 3.

  1. Essential workers such as healthcare workers and nursing home workers
  2. People with underlying diseases at risk of aggravation
  3. Elderly people (over 70 years old), and people who live with pregnant women and have difficulty taking the necessary preventive measures

If you are interested in medical treatment in accommodation facilities, please apply using the forms below (Japanese only).

  • Families who wish to opt for treatment in the accommodation facilities must register their relatives separately, one by one.

The recovery period ends 10 days after symptom onset and 72 hours after symptom relief (*).

  1. People who are not currently hospitalized

The recovery period ends 7 hours after symptom onset and 24 hours after symptom relief (*).

*Symptom relief is a term that means fever has been reduced without the use of antipyretics and respiratory symptoms are improving.

However, until 10 days have passed, the risk of infection remains, so take the following preventive actions.

  • Check your health condition and take your temperature yourself
  • Avoid contact with people from risk groups, such as the elderly
  • Avoid unnecessary, non-urgent visits to high-risk facilities such as nursing homes
  • Do not use places with a high risk of infection or meals in public places
