Due to the impact of the coronavirus, workers in small and medium-sized companies are asked to take a leave of absence without pay. But if you apply for an aid (compensation during leave of absence), you can recieve subsidies for the leave of absence.

Average daily wages before recess X 80% (* 1) X Number of days in the month – Days worked (* 2)
1 Aid limit per day is ¥ 11,000
2 Including the number of days off due to workers’ personal reasons (for example, work vacations, among others).
Send the necessary documents to the Labor Department (application form, etc.) by post or online.
* You must complete the application form in Japanese.
