Mie province extended the State of Emergency period due to the increase in cases of infections of the new coronavirus and issued the State of Emergency Measures for Mie Prefecture Version 2 (Mieken Kinkyu Jitai Sochi – 三重県緊急事態措置 ver 2), that will last until May 31st.
The Governor of Mie left a message for the citizens of the province. See the contents below.
The governor asks citizens to observe the following points when leaving their home or moving within the province
Avoid leaving the province for tourism or returning to hometown. The governor asks people working outside the province to use the Internet to work from home.
Avoid coming to Mie Prefecture, except in cases that are really necessary. Also ask your friends and family not to come to Mie.
Mie has many sights, but wait to visit when the coronavirus problem is over.
The request for company operation suspensions was issued on April 20, and will be maintained except for some establishments. The governor asks for everyone’s cooperation.
