Message to all people diagnosed with coronavirus

Since September 9, 2022, Mie Prefecture has applied emergency prevention measures based on the Infectious Disease Laws.

Previously, all citizens diagnosed with coronavirus will recieve a notice from public health centers (hokenjo).  However, after September 9th, only people who fit items 1 to 5 below will receive the announcement.

*Hokenjo will only contact people who fall under items 1 to 5 below.

  1. People over 65 years old
  2. People who need hospitalization
  3. People who are at risk of becoming seriously ill and who require the administration of therapeutic medicines for coronavirus (flu medicines, etc.)
  4. People who are at risk of becoming seriously ill and who need treatment with oxygen administration
  5. Pregnant women

People who do not fit into items 1 to 5 will not receive the notice.  Check precautions for medical treatment and recover at home.

Things you should do if diagnosed with Covid-19

新型コロナウイルス感染症と診断された皆様へ(診断されたらまずすること)

If you are diagnosed with coronavirus, tell your family members these following items:

  • That you have been diagnosed with coronavirus
  • That the family members are likely to have been infected and need to avoid leaving home

Also inform the company where you work and the schools and day care centers that you or your family members attend.
