Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, for an indefinite period, the Driver’s License Center (Unten Menkyo Center) of Mie and other related places will temporarily suspend the procedures for renewing the driver’s license, exchange of licenses obtained in another country for Japanese driver’s license and other activities. But, these services returned to normal on May 11, 2020. Until July 31, 2020, people who have a few days left until the driver’s license renewal period must carry out the procedures for extending the renewal period.
