On April 7, 2020, the government issued the State of Emergency Alert (Kinkyu Jitai Sengen – 緊急 事態 宣言) for 7 provinces (Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, Osaka, Hyogo and Fukuoka).
Below is the content of the message made by the Governor of Mie to the citizens.
Do not go to the 7 provinces listed above unless it is extremely necessary. Also try to avoid visiting regions with many cases of infections, such as Hokkaido, Aichi and Kyoto.
Ask family and friends from those 7 provinces above not to come to Mie. Also ask people from those regions don’t come to Mie even for work-related reasons.
Protect the lives and health of workers and students. Make use of tele work and online classes.
Wrong information is circulating on social media. Do not believe or share information if you are not sure if it’s true. Also, don’t panic buy goods and stay calm.
Take action to avoid being infected by the virus, such as avoiding closed spaces, crowded places and close contact settings (3 C’s) and be aware of your distance between people.
