2014  Middle School Equivalency Exam for Individuals Exempt from Completing Compulsory Education

This exam is for individuals who, due to illness or other unavoidable circumstances, were exempt from completing or could not complete compulsory education.

Individuals who pass this exam are eligible to apply for entry to senior high school.

Those who wish to take the exam should follow the instructions below to obtain the registration and test guidelines, and complete the necessary registration procedures.

 

1. Obtaining the registration and test guidelines

The registration and test guidelines are available at the following institutions:

l  Mie Prefecture, Prefectural Board of Education, Senior High School Education Division, Career Education Group (Mie Prefectural Office Building 7F)

9am-5pm, excluding Saturday, Sunday and public holidays

l  The guidelines are also available at every municipal board of education

Please call ahead of time when coming to pick up registration and test guidelines.

Applications for Prefectural High Schools for the 2014 Fall Semester

Hokusei High School, in the northern area of Yokkaichi City, is accepting applications from middle-school graduates who wish to enroll in its part-time and correspondence courses during the fall semester of 2014. As all classes and exams will take place in Japanese, Japanese language ability is essential

Date: Friday 12 September 2014

Hour: the examination will begin at 9 am

The examination will consist of an essay and interview.

 Location: Mie Prefectural Hokusei High School

(Yokkaichi-shi, Ōaza Mochibuku, Aza Yokoza 668-1)

 

1. Application Period and Office Hours

Applications will be accepted from Wednesday 3rd September until Wednesday 10th September 2014, excluding weekends, from 9am – 8pm (applications will not be accepted after 5pm 10th September).

 

2. Number of Applicants to be Accepted

Part-time Course (regular curriculum) – daytime = 4 students

Part-time Course (information and business curriculum) – daytime = 4 students

Part-time Course (regular curriculum) – evening = 2 students

Correspondence course (regular curriculum) = 60 students

 

3. Exam Results:

Exam results will be announced on Wednesday 17 September 2014 at 10am.
